Musicians Interested in Auditioning

Openings are available in the following positions:

• Assistant Concertmaster*
• Principal Viola*
• Principal Bass*
• Timpani*
• Assistant Principal Second Vioilin
• 2nd Trumpet
• Bass Trombone
• all Section Strings
• all winds welcome to audition for substitute/auxiliary positions
• section percussion

Auditionees will be expected to prepare 3 orchestral excerpts (provided by Coeur d'Alene Symphony) and 1-2 minutes (no more) of a solo piece of their choice. No accompaniment necessary.

The Coeur d'Alene Symphony performs 5 subscription concerts a year, plus various additional services. Services are not compensated, but a travel stipend is available for those driving more than 25 miles (one way) to rehearsal.
