2027 National Young Artist Competition

The Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra will select winners from the competition categories. Up to six winners may be selected to perform with the orchestra at the Young Artist Concert on March 20, 2027.

Performance Requirements

  • Winners must be available to rehearse with the orchestra on the dates specified by the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra.
  • Winners will perform one aria or one concerto movement with the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra, rather than the complete concerto.
  • The selected movement must be under 15 minutes.
  • Applicants must make appropriate cuts to piano parts, where necessary, to meet the time limit. Clearly indicate any cuts in the submitted score and parts provided to the orchestra.
  • All repertoire submitted must be in the public domain. Applications containing repertoire that does not meet this requirement will be disqualified.
  • All travel expenses are the responsibility of the applicant.

Eligibility and Awards

  • The Collegiate Voice and Professional Voice categories are open to applicants ages 18–27.
  • Selected winners will receive a $750 monetary award.
  • Only one application may be submitted per applicant.

Entry Fee

A $75 nonrefundable entry fee is required to complete your application. Please click HERE to submit your payment.

Your application, audition video link, and entry fee must all be received by December 15, 2026, to be considered. Please review all eligibility requirements and prepare your application materials before submitting.
