Reflecting on Our 2023-24 Season & Thank You!
Our 2023-24 season has officially come to a close, and we are filled with immense gratitude. Each beautiful melody and triumphant finale was made possible by YOU! Thanks to the support of patrons and donors like you, our 45th season was an incredible success.
This year, we partnered with Art on the Green and the Flammia Endowment to bring over 600 fourth graders their very own private concert. The Hayden Lake Country Club with CSO hosted a pop-up Labor Day concert for its members. We raised the barn with Blazing Fiddles, making it a successful fundraising event, and collaborated with the Cd’A Community Library and Rotary to bring “Saturday with the Symphony” to children and families of all ages. The orchestra also participated in several concerts in the park at Riverstone and City Park bandshell!
Highlights from our regular concerts include:
- Beethoven’s Emperor brought Yoon-Wha Roh with a dazzling piano performance
- Holiday Magic concert with Choral Coeur d’Alene, featuring a joyous audience sing-along.
- Storytime Adventures: A Family Concert with the North Idaho Youth Symphony, culminating in an epic Pirates of the Caribbean finale.
- Celebrating Our Young Artist was an incredible performance with winners:
Professional Voice: Jordan Lee Gilbert
Collegiate Piano: Claire Chiang
College Voice: Joseph Calzada
College Winds/Brass: Ryan Youngho Cho
College Strings: Hannah Schafer
High School Piano: Taiyo Oishi
High School Instrumental: Hana Gottesman
- Vive La France concluded our season with a solo performance by cellist Cole Tutino and a brass only piece, ending our voyage around the world!
Additionally, did you know that in collaboration with Music4Life, the CSO brings Music Medicine for Wellbeing trainings to Children’s Village Family Support Center? Lastly, we introduced Dialogues with Danh this year before each concert, and it has help bring mental health awareness and how music impacts our lives! There’s a lot happening around the Coeur d’Alene Symphony!
Share your own season highlights and show some love for your Coeur d’Alene Symphony musicians by posting and tagging us on Facebook! Thank you for being a part of our incredible journey.
