Featured Soloists

David Brewster
David Brewster enjoys an active career as a pianist, music director, educator, and conductor in the greater Spokane and Coeur d’Alene area. He has performed with ensembles including the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra, Spokane Symphony Orchestra, and Chorale Coeur d’Alene, and has toured across the U.S. and Canada. Since 2022, he has served as faculty at the Music Conservatory of Coeur d’Alene, guiding students to award-winning performances. Outside of music, David is also a ski instructor, paraeducator, and proud father to Fiona and Rowan.

Joy Zickau
A Seminole and Coushatta native, Joy began piano studies at the age of three and made her concerto debut at just seven years old. She has gone on to win numerous awards and perform with symphonies across Idaho. A graduate of Boise State University, she is now a piano and harp faculty at Whitworth University, principal harpist for the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra and Washington-Idaho Symphony, and Executive Director of the 208 Ensemble. An accomplished composer, her works have been published, commissioned, and performed nationally, reflecting her deep commitment to musical storytelling and Indigenous representation.
